Who we are

HL Media is the trading name of Harriet Lightfoot, a sole trader based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. For anything on this page, write to hello@hlmedia.pro.

What we collect

If you email us, we hold your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your business. That is all. There is no contact form on this site, no account to create, and nothing to sign up to.

We use privacy-first analytics that count visits without cookies and without tracking anyone across sites. That is why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry and, if you book, to carry out the work and keep proper business records. The lawful basis is performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to someone who contacted us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within twelve months. Records relating to paid work are kept for six years, which is what HMRC requires.

Raw footage is held for three months after delivery and then deleted, unless you have paid to extend it.

Who else sees it

Our email is hosted by Zoho. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Neither is given your data for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.

Footage of you and your horses

If you appear on camera, we film only with your knowledge and agreement, and we agree in advance where the footage may be used. Tell us at any point if you want something withdrawn and we will remove it from anything we control.

For shows, children and institutional clients we ask for consent in writing.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@hlmedia.pro and we will respond within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
